This project represents a personal exploration rooted in the photographic documentation of my hometown, New Milford, CT. The images I have captured reflect elements that evoke nostalgia, harkening back to a simpler time. Through a combination of black and white photography and cyanotype techniques, I aim to encapsulate the natural beauty of the area while creating a cohesive visual narrative. The selected color scheme emphasizes the distinctive hues inherent in the cyanotypes, enriching the overall aesthetic and emotional resonance of the work. This project serves not just as a collection of images but as a tribute to the essence of my hometown and the memories it holds for me.

My Book: Photo Book

The color scheme, as stated before, based on mimicking the colors from the cyanotypes. It was to make the colors cohesive and not taking away from the beautiful blues of the cyanotypes.

As for the typeface, I chose Puffin Display Soft for the lighthearted and, well, soft appearance of the type. I made the book like a kid would almost, trying to get the perspective as well as the simple naming of photos. I wanted the types to match that feel in some way.
